Pilot Rock

Moderately strenuous / 7 miles / 4 hours / 2 liters (67 oz) water / $50 per person / $35 ages 10-15

This trail calls upon you to navigate some hills while making your way to the stunning lake views to see the replica of the Portland Head Light, originally found in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Relax in the sun and enjoy the snack or light lunch that you brought while sitting along a rocky shoreline or at the picnic table at this popular U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) shoreline camping location.

After resting for 10 to 15 minutes, the hike will retreat along its incoming path. This hike is perfect for participants who want to experience quality time in the desert and shoreline without navigating the Canyon. This hike is not recommended for youth younger than 10 years old.

Hike time is roundtrip and includes a brief safety briefing and time for photo ops along the trail.
