Ancient desert land beckons
silently waiting
listening for your footprint
and a whisper of worship from your soul.
Choose your path.
“Everywhere is the center of the world. Everything is sacred.” -Black Elk
For 6 million years, the Colorado River has carved its way through towering desert red rock.
It’s your time to experience the nature of timelessness.
Trails linger here at the border of the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts in Western Arizona, waiting to usher you past mesmerizing rock formations, through a slot canyon, or to a lighthouse keeping watch over the Colorado River shoreline.
Havasu Hikes is committed to safely guiding your desert exploration of these scenic experiences with moments of mindfulness. No permits are needed, only ample water and a desire for desert immersion.
Leashed dogs allowed on Wanderlust and Pilot Rock; harnessed dogs allowed on Slot Canyon and Slot Canyon to Shore.

Immerse yourself in the intrigue of this ancient terrain and Lake Havasu. You’ll enjoy the stories it has to tell of how it came to supply 20 million people with water, feature the London Bridge and create the gorgeous, chill lake-desert resort destination of Lake Havasu City along the Colorado River. The Special Activity Recreation Area (SARA) Park is 1,100 acres of hiking and mountain biking trails. To clarify, the Lake Havasu region is about two hours south of the Grand Canyon in Western Arizona, and it does not feature the epic hike to Havasupai Falls, which is located at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
